High quality Moroccan restaurant in the Marais. Traditional cuisine and atmosphere, great tagines, coucous, etc.
Right next door to the famous Andy Wahloo bar which is also in Moroccan style (decorated with modern Moroccan relics, fun atmosphere for drinks) So you can start your night with the happy hour there and head over for a great meal at the 404 just after.
Price was reasonable, around 30 euros per person including a main meal, dessert and some wine.

I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago with a Moroccan friend of mine and had a great time.
The tables and chairs are low to the ground, the ambiance is really warm and inviting, lots of Moroccan light fixtures and small touches that make the place special.
My friend said that her dish ranked up there with her grandmother’s recipe – so I am taking that as a sign that the place is authentic!
I had my favorite dish – lamb tagine with prunes and almonds. Apparently my friend tells me that this is a dish that is reserved for special occasions…it was delicious!
We were low on budget so we tried a Moroccan rose wine (I know, definitely not the obvious choice!) but it was nice and refreshing…they definitely have more impressive wines on the list for those who want to indulge.
I would definitely go back!
Me and my partner visit Paris all the time, luckily I have to go there for work every now and then. I will have to hunt this place out next time I am there. Thanks for the advice.
