As you navigate your way around Paris, you may notice that people refer to different areas by the neighborhood (such as the marais, montmartre, etc) and also by areas known as arrondissements.
The twenty arrondissements are arranged in the form of a clockwise spiral, starting with the first in the middle of the city on the right bank (north bank) of the Seine River.
Hint:
You can also tell from a place’s address which arrondissement it is in by the last 2 digits of the postal code
Example: 75001 (first arrondissement) 75002 (second) and so on
