Brand new restaurant in the 18th arrondissement, specializing in gluten free cuisine!

This restaurant features both traditional and fusion recipes served in a modern yet inviting setting on the famous rue Lepic in the 18th.

The service is friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is inventive. A well awaited treat for those who have an intolerance to gluten, as well as anyone who wishes to try the gluten free diet to see if its for them.

The restaurant has only been open for a few months, but hopefully will last much longer!

Adress:

63 rue Lepic

Come here to enjoy a drink and the view, but not for the food.

The cafe on the top of the Centre Georges Pompidou has a panoramic view of Paris and is quite pleasant in warm weather. Beware though – the food is mediocre at best

The decor and prices are as one would expect from a modern art museum

Le Pre Verre (Paris)

Le Pre Verre (Paris)

Classic French cuisine with unusual twists!

Some examples from their summer 2008 menu:

Red pepper and raspberry soup

Marinaded salmon with ginger and smoked eggplant

Quails roasted with caramelised bacon and coffee sauce

Poached pear with ginger caramel and olive ice cream

The olive ice cream was amazing!

I would recommend dining in the basement, as the decor is more lively with colorful murals along the walls. I read in one review to avoid sitting there due to the smoke, but thankfully that is no longer a problem in French restaurants!
